Dr Layla Institute for Educational Excellence

CPD Malpractice Policy

Protecting the integrity of CPD assessments, participation records and certificates through fair and transparent procedures.

Approved: 15 October 2026 Review: 15 October 2027
Dr Layla Institute for Educational Excellence is committed to fair learning and assessment practices. This policy outlines how suspected malpractice is reported, reviewed and addressed while protecting confidentiality and the integrity of course outcomes.

Policy scope

This document applies to adult educators undertaking Dr Layla Institute for Educational Excellence professional development independently or through a school or employer.

Initial delivery is through self-paced online CPD e-modules and, where offered, live online sessions. Face-to-face activities may be introduced only after the applicable permissions, licences, venue safeguards and any necessary accreditation or course-delivery approvals have been confirmed. No course is described as CPD-accredited unless formal approval has been granted for that course and delivery format.

Purpose

Dr Layla Institute for Educational Excellence protects the integrity of course assessments, participation records and certificates. This applies to learners, specialists, assessors and administrative representatives.

Examples of malpractice

Malpractice may include impersonation, false completion claims, unauthorised sharing of assessment answers, plagiarism, fabricated reflective evidence, altered certificates or staff manipulation of completion records.

Use of AI and collaboration

Where a course allows collaboration or AI-assisted work, the instructions will say so. Learners remain responsible for accuracy, originality and meeting the stated assessment requirements.

Reporting

Suspected malpractice may be reported to [email protected]. Reports should describe the concern and provide relevant evidence without unnecessary personal data.

Investigation

Dr Layla Institute for Educational Excellence will review the available evidence fairly, give the person concerned an opportunity to respond and document its findings.

Outcomes may include no action, guidance, reassessment, withholding or withdrawal of a certificate, or removal from a course where justified.

Appeal and confidentiality

Decisions and reasons will be communicated in writing. Learners may appeal under the Appeals Policy. Information will be shared only where necessary or legally required.
